‘The secrets of painting and its market’ by Leonardo Echeoni is a treatise on painting which deals with its issues in a very innovative way.
Result of experience gained by the author as creator and coordinator of some drawing courses organized in primary schools in Turin, it stands as a mean to get close young people to the art world by providing only the basic information in order to induce personal creativity of everyone to act freely without impressing a specific style that could go to stifle originality of everyone.

The conceptual basis are illustrated to undertake and implement a graphic work, starting from research of the subject, from the choice of perspective, of the proportions and of the sign. This work aims to train the young (or whoever is the reader) to read the reality that surrounds him and to its transposition on the sheet. The text is aimed primarily to children and that is why we find a section for teachers suggesting ways of non-invasive approach.
The information contained herein are also very useful for those who want to read a painting, finding in it the coordinates necessary to understand the secrets of the art contained in its rows.
Of a crucially important and I believe unique about this topic, the section dedicated to illustrate the functioning of the art market. An artist is often at the mercy of himself and of his inexperience and then it’s easy that he could be overwhelmed by market policies which maybe can hide the skill and flair. In this text are showed the behaviours to be followed to enter the market of painting to get a real success and recognition of the own value.
